Many today have become victims of an imbalance, confusing personal gifts and anointings with universal doctrines. What some received as unique helps for their ministries have been repackaged as rigid methods and taught as if they are divine templates for all.
They were given these operations of grace as personalized gifts, but now they are taught as spiritual roadmaps, encouraging others to adopt them wholesale. Worse still, others are copying them passionately and end up frustrated, burnt out, or feeling empty.
Why?
Because something that was birthed by grace cannot be sustained by merely duplicating or copying it routinely.
Some boast of spending hours in prayer, and (unintentionally) placing others under pressure to do the same, as if religion alone equals spiritual depth. Yet after following these protocols of long fasts, extended vigils, and intense disciplines, some still find themselves missing the essence they were seeking: God Himself.
We forget: what came to one person by the economy of a gift or personal dealing cannot be duplicated by another through copy copy process alone. We do not enter a spiritual reality through labor, but by receiving personalized blueprints through intimacy.
That’s why templates fail. That’s why copying methods leaves us empty. Because light is only seen in God’s light (Psalm 36:9), not in another person’s pattern.
What we need are personalised dealings—a walk with God that reflects His unique specifications for our lives. Spiritual gifts and manifestations are just that: gifts—freely given, not “formulaically” earned. These things are not mechanical; they are relational.
So, enough of chasing processes and techniques for accessing the miraculous. Seminars. conferences and trainings may inform, but they cannot replace a personal encounter with God.
The laborers God is raising—those who will repair, restore, and rebuild His house—must do so according to His unique design for them.
No shortcuts. No copy-paste spirituality.
The question is: What are the personalised specifications God has given you?
