Think twice, O disciple of the Lamb,
how do you want to be remembered?
For Christ promised us a kingdom—
yet never without the narrow path that leads into it.
This gospel is no gentle lullaby,
that rocks thee back and forth upon thy cushion chair
but a radical summons,
a trumpet that sounds very clear, saying
“Choose ye this day whom ye will serve”
Fence-sitters deceive themselves;
for the fence itself was built by the adversary.
He that lingers there has already chosen his master.
Come down, O soul!
Thou cannot serve God and mammon.
Wherever you live, whatever your culture or language,
the message of Christ remains the same.
Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever;
and His expectations know no borders.
Let it resound from every shore and mountain,
that Christ is King, and His dominion endureth forever.
Awake, O thou that sleepest!
Shake off the dust of compromise.
Take your stand, though the earth be moved,
though insults, fire, and sword follow thee.
For in living, Christ must be heard;
and in dying, He will be glorified.
We count not our lives dear unto ourselves—
for what is life, than to bear Christ’s Name?
And what is death, than just the doorway to behold His face?
Therefore stand, O soldier of the Cross.
Lift high His banner till your breath is spent.
Let all men know, and let eternity record:
that in your generation, you stood fast for Christ.
More Blessings to you.
